Questions

Is FSK or MJK harder to get into?

MJK sets the higher minimum in: march 30k and swim 400. Same minimum: hang-ups and push-ups. These are only the published fitness minimums; selection itself, medical and other requirements differ, and passing the minimum does not guarantee selection.

How do the FSK and MJK fitness tests differ?

FSK: 7 events (hang-ups, push-ups, sit-ups, back ext, rundeløp, march 30k, swim 400). MJK: 7 events (5000 m 9kg, pull-ups, push-ups, brutalbenk, swim 400, march 30k, lifesaving).

Does FSK or MJK pay more?

FSK: NOK 470,000/year (Sersjant 1. klasse · OR 5+ (SKO 1565, kort lønnsstige) · år 0); MJK: NOK 520,000/year (Oversersjant · OR 6 (SKO 1566, lang lønnsstige) · år 0) (default scenarios, gross).
