SpecOpsLab
Methodology
SpecOpsLab compares your results with standards that armed forces publish themselves. We do not invent pass marks. Where a unit publishes nothing, we say so.
Thresholds from a current military document — manual, regulation or recruiting page — linked and dated.
An older official edition or several consistent secondary sources. We say so on the page.
The unit publishes no numbers. We show the typical candidate profile — never a fake pass mark.
Primary sources first
Every threshold comes from a military document: a regulation, manual, recruiting page or official brochure. Press and forums are used only as secondary sources and are labelled as such.
Every number is traceable
Each value carries its source, the document date and the date we last read it. Key numbers are checked mechanically against the downloaded source text.
Three confidence levels
Official, approximate or profile — shown on every unit card and page.
Verdict logic
Not ready yet: at least one event below the minimum. Borderline: all at or above the minimum, but not all at the target. Ready: all at the target. The target is the unit’s published higher level; where none exists, it is the minimum plus a 10% safety margin.
Pay figures
Pay is shown as gross amounts and ranges, itemised, from official pay tables for the stated year. Bonuses that vary are not included.
Privacy
The free verdict is calculated in your browser. Your results are sent only if you buy the full report, are kept for at most 24 hours to generate it, and are then deleted.
Not affiliated
We are not affiliated with any armed forces. A calculator result is an educational estimate, not a selection decision.
